2022 Feast of Tabernacles
Club Miléade La Gaillarde
The brethren in France were blessed to welcome visitors from twelve countries, with 215 Feastgoers gathering at Club Miléade la Gaillarde on the French Riviera. The all-inclusive site meant good fellowship over delicious and varied buffet-style meals and lots of time together after the days’ activities. The children’s playground and multiple swimming pools were a big hit with the large number of children present.
Messages, alternating between French and English, focused on studying and putting God’s Word into practice now to lead and rule in the coming Kingdom of God, with many using effective PowerPoint presentations. We also enjoyed an interactive Bible study from Bob Fahey on the Psalms of Ascent. Tim Pebworth gave an update on the work of the Church in the French-speaking areas and, during services, shared a sampling of French-language animated Poly Col y Toly videos created for children to understand the meaning of the Feast days. Brethren were able to explore the surrounding area by renting cars or taking planned excursions to Antibes, St. Tropez and St. Paul de Vence.
With the site situated across the street from the Mediterranean, Feastgoers experienced a peaceful appreciation of God’s power and creation, enjoying many picturesque sunrises and sunsets. This festival site was blessed with beautiful special music, including vocal solos, adult and children’s choirs and small group performances as well as various instrumental musical offerings. Activities included family day, in which families participated in games on the tennis court and on the shore of the Mediterranean, youth education and a talent show which drew a large crowd and was followed by music and dancing.
