Bring Your Own Equipment:
If you have your own basketball or volleyball, we request you bring it to WFW. Game balls for basketball and volleyball will be provided, but you will need to bring your own ball for warm-ups and shoot-around. For Pickleball - you must bring your own paddles and pickleballs as these will NOT be provided. We recommended you include a name and phone number on your equipment.
Brochure:
A brochure will be available soon for download. The brochure will contain important information about specific times, locations and events that will be available to help you plan your weekend! Please watch for the brochure availability date here on the UPDATES page.
Gym Spectator Seating:
Spooky Nook at Champion Mill is a state-of-the-art sports facility built for AAU tournament style play. The courts are top quality and are in abundance. While we'll have spectator seating available at court level and on the mezzanine, there may be a limited number of bleachers, and we want to ensure everyone has a comfortable experience. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to bring your own chairs or padded bleacher seats common at sporting events. Any chair ("camping style", "picnic style", etc) with rubber or molded plastic feet is approved for use between the courts.
Footwear:
To ensure the protection of the hardwood floors at Spooky Nook, ONLY non-marking athletic shoes are allowed on the hardwood playing surfaces for basketball and volleyball. Other shoes are okay to remain between the hardwood courts for spectator viewing, but SHOULD NOT go on the playing areas themselves.
While athletic shoes are also recommended for the rubberized "sport court" floors, more flexibility is allowed on this side of the gym. There will be games, cards, etc. for all ages and it is approved for casual shoes, etc. to be worn on the "sport court" floors.
Catered Meal:
You must be registered by Sunday, December 17th in order to be eligible for the meal!
Please be aware that anyone with a paid registration for any event at Winter Family Weekend is eligible to take part into our catered meal being offered on DEC. 25th. If you would like to be a part of the meal and currently are not a paid registrant, it is CRITICAL that you update your registration. Please do so IMMEDIATELY so that our planning committee can project accurate numbers.
