God has opened the doors for a new Brazilian feast site in Porto Seguro, in the state of Bahia. However, we have received more requests than we had antecipated and we have booked a larger conference center than the one we had originally booked. The new conference center will be at the Portal Beach Hotel (www.portalbeach.com.br). 

We will have brethren coming from Angola and brethren coming from Maloca de Moscow - in the north of Brazil. 

Those brethren that previously booked will stay at the Transoceânico Praia Hotel and we will have a shuttle service from one hotel to the other. The distance is about 5 minutes by car (just short of 2 miles) and both hotels are at the beach front and located in the region where Brazil was first discovered by Portuguese navigators on April 21, 1500. Both hotels are of excellent quality. The Portal Beach hotel offers a fully inclusive option (that is three meals per day included in the rate).

We will have services every morning in English and Portuguese. On Holy days and the Sabbath we will have two services, or a service and a Bible study.

The safe and calm beachfront location provides a spectacular setting for Christian fellowship. Brethren will be able to enjoy stunning views of the ocean while celebrating God’s Feast. The gentle breeze and the sound of the waves adds a special touch to the experience, making it truly unforgettable.

This venue has been specifically chosen to be in a safe and peaceful region of Brazil, as well as affordable and easily accessible to the small flock of Brazilian brethren and prospects. Both hotels are about 10-20 minutes drive from the Porto Seguro airport which is easily accessible by direct flights of less than two hours from either São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro.

We welcome international visitors willing to serve and set an example of true Christian behavior to these recently baptized brethren and prospects. As always, you will get great joy from the Feast as we willingly give of ourselves to serve one another. The Feast of Tabernacles promises to be full of special moments that will further strengthen the faith and unity of God's family. We hope you can join us in celebrating this special occasion of fellowship and learning.

Service times:

The opening service will be Wednesday evening, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. Services will be held every morning at 10 a.m., except on the Sabbaths, in which there will be two services or one service and one Bible study. The messages will be translated into English, or Portuguese, depending on who the speaker is.

Registration and Reservation:

Registration is NOW open by directly contacting the festival coordinator Jorge de Campos at jorge_decampos@ucg.org. Those that regster now should make hotel arrangements directly with the Portal Beach Hotel and pay directly to the hotel.

Those that have already paid a 50% deposit and sent it to the home office should pay the remaining of the booking in a check to UCG’s Cincinnati home office, in favor of United Church of God and with a reference FOT-Brazil, before Monday, Sept. 2. 

Traveling to Brazil and to Porto Seguro:

The Brazilian government has postponed the visa requirements for USA and Canadian passport holders to 2025. Therefore, USA and Canadian passport holders will NOT need to apply for a visa to travel to the Feast in Brazil this year.

Various car hire companies are available at the airport in Porto Seguro. It is advisable to recerve a car in advance. If you reserve the car in advance it is better to only select insurance with the actual car hire company at the airport. 

Uber is also very popular in Brazil.
